Power Plant Pond Project

Project Description: This project, constructing a new power plant pond, included excavating the pond (900,000 cu yds) and constructing the pond embankments (798,000 cu yds), installing an 18” thick clay bentonite liner utilizing a pugmill process for quality control purposes (105,000 cu yds),  installation of 10” of flyash stabilized soil on the inside slopes for wave action protection (23,500 cu yds), installing 20-inch and 24-inch HDPE inlet and outlet piping, including concrete structures, completion of 6” flyash base roads, replacement of topsoil (15,000 cu yds) and site revegetation – buffalo grass hydromulch operation.

Contract Value: $3,900,000
Project Duration: 8 months

 

Colorado Springs Storage and Loading Terminal

Project Description: This project, constructing a new storage and loading terminal, included all earthwork, liner, concrete, and mechanical work required to construct the tank foundations and retention berms, new loading facilities and all concrete, piping, and structural steel required for the new facility.

Project Duration: 9 months

 


 

Plant / Compressor Station Work

Project Descriptions: We perform and complete all forms of plant / refinery and compressor station projects from the groud up – earthwork, concrete, electrical, structural, mechanical. Project sizes range from less than $100,000 in value to in excess of $10 million and durations of just a few weeks to 1-2 years.  Much of our fabrication and machine work is completed in our shops in Borger, TX.  We also hold both a “U” and a “R” stamp utilized in fabricating and repairing pressure vessels.  Following are some brief descriptions of projects completed in the past:

Power Plant – Texas – Civil, Structural and Mechanical –Completion of all civil, structural and mechanical work required at 3 different plant locations including; 1) new concrete clarifier, building foundations, and concrete supports, 2) installation of new firewater loops and transmission piping, both below and above ground, 3) pipe racks and other supports, 4) installation of prefabricated pump pits, pumps, and control buildings, 5) final grading and placement of flyash base and asphalt paving, and 6) assistance with project startup.

Compressor Station – Keyes, Oklahoma – Installation of a new 3,500 HP Compressor at an existing facility including; 1) equipment and building foundations, 2) installation of the compressor unit and associated equipment, 3) erection of a new pre-fabbed compressor building, and 4) installation of all piping, electrical, and instrumentation required for operation.

 

 

Compressor Station – El Paso, Texas – Installation of 2 Tarus 70 Turbine Compressor units inside an existing station including; 1) equipment and building foundations, 2) installation of the compressor units and associated equipment, 3) erection of the new compressor and auxiliary buildings, and 4) installation of all piping, electrical, and instrumentation required for operation.

Compressor Station – Borger, Texas – Installation of 6 – 1,100 HP Compressor units with new inlet filters, process skids and associated piping.

 

 

Compressor Stations – Ft. Lupton, Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming – Addition of new Compressor units to existing stations including the compressor building extensions, inlet filters and gas and utility coolers.

 

 

Compressor Station – Snyder, Texas – Installation of 5 – 4,000 HP Electric Driven Compressor units including the new compressor building and all associated utilities.

 

 

Refinery – Borger, Texas – Civil, Structural and Mechanical – Completion of civil, structural and mechanical work required for new unit including; 1) concrete building foundations, and concrete supports, 2) installation of new firewater loops and transmission piping, both below and above ground, 3) pipe racks and other supports, 4) installation of prefabricated pump pits, pumps, and control buildings, 5) final grading and placement of flyash base and asphalt paving, and 6) assistance with project startup.
