Santa Fe Lake Site Closure – Clovis, NM (Superfund Site)
Project Description: Closure of Superfund site - Demolition / Revision of Facilities including lysimeteres, OSF sump and lift station, plumbing of decontamination system, spray evaporation system, run-on control dike, removal and disposal of HDPE liner, removal of above-ground water and electrical lines, placement of clean soil in basin pond area, fill / compaction of diversion channel, grading of 41 acres inside moat area, final grading of OSF cap surface – 5.5 acres - to specified contours, placement of 320,000 sq ft HDPE liner, 308,900 sq ft of geonet and filter cloth, 12-inch soil protection layer, geocell material at slope changes to control erosion, and placement of 6-inch topsoil layer. Site vegetation and maintenance – 47.5 acres

Three Hazardous Waste Impoundments – Borger, TX
Project Description: Construction of three (3) bentonite and HDPE lined liquid hazardous waste impoundments at Borger, Texas Complex. Construction included removing overburden and an extensive layer of rock; constructing containment berms; placing a three-foot (3') bentonite enhanced clay liner (26,850 cu yds); and installing a 100-mil HDPE liner, a leak detection system, and a 60-mil HDPE cover liner. A total of 216,780 cubic yards was cut from construction and borrow areas, and 89,950 cubic yards of fill was used.

Landfill Cells 10 and 11 - Closure - USPCI Lone Mountain - Waynoka, OK
Project Description: Construction of the final closure caps included placing berms of waste material from around the top inside perimeter of the cells into existing ditches, installing clay caps (21,250 cu yds and 35,344 cu yds), soil protective covers (10,990 cu yds and 29,748 cu yds) atop 60-mil HDPE liners, rock protective covers (including filters and perforated drain pipes), and associated drainage facilities.
In addition, compacted soil covers (4,080 cu yds and 5,274 cu yds), Types I and II granular material (3,010 cu yds and 6,488 cu yds), and Type V riprap (3,695 cu yds and 8,532 cu yds) were installed. HDPE liners, drainage net, and filter fabric were furnished and installed by subcontractor.
West Texas Region Disposal Facility – Phase I and II – Lubbock, TX
Project Description: This project, constructing a new landfill facility for the City of Lubbock, included excavating a new existing landfill cell (3,126,600 cu yds), constructing landscape berms around the facility (602,312 cu yds), planting trees and other vegetation, installing a geosynthetic clay liner (621, 440 sq ft), installing smooth (396,768 sq ft) and textured (308,968 sq ft) HDPE liners, installing a geosynthetic drainage layer (679,490 sq ft), installing a 12-inch leachate collection system, installing a protective soil cover (49,577 cu yds), and placing gabion mattresses and various erosion control devices.
We also installed barbed wire and chain link fencing, a drip irrigation system, concrete roads and surfaces, asphalt paving, corrugated metal culverts, and a pair of truck scales. In addition, we constructed a maintenance building, a de-mudding facility, a gate house, and related appurtenances.
West Texas Region Disposal Facility – Liner Installation
Project Description: This project, placing a synthetic liner system for the City of Lubbock landfill, included subgrade preparation on the floor and slopes of the landfill cell (689,141 sq ft), placement of geosynthetic clay liner (689,141 sq ft), placement of smooth and textured geomembrane liners (689,141 sq ft), placement of geocomposite drainage layer (689,141 sq ft), placement of leachate collection system, and placement of protective cover (689,141 sq ft).
West Texas Region Disposal Facility – Cell 2 Construction
Project Description: This project, constructing the new Cell 2 landfill cell for the City of Lubbock, included excavating the landfill cell (1,828,800 cu yds), installing a geosynthetic clay liner (1,318,700 sq ft), installing smooth (890,600 sq ft) and textured (428,100 sq ft) HDPE liners, installing a geosynthetic drainage layer (1,331,000 sq ft), installing a 12-inch leachate collection system, installing protective soil cover (1,307,500 sq ft), construction of embankment fill (11,000 cu yds), caliche (9,216 sq yd) and asphalt (7,820 sq yd) roads, site signage, and various sump and erosion control devices.
